At Prana Exercise Physiology, we empower individuals living with musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, and chronic disease to enhance their quality of life through improved movement, increased strength, and better health."
Why choose an accredited exercise physiologist?
Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are healthcare professionals who design and deliver evidence-based exercise and rehabilitation programs to prevent, manage, and treat long-term health conditions. They also support individuals in making sustainable lifestyle and behaviour changes.
AEPs are registered with and regulated by Exercise & Sports Science Australia, which ensures they meet rigorous educational and professional standards. They are the most qualified professionals for prescribing and delivering clinical exercise interventions.

Functional capacity for activities of daily living
Physical activity is one of the most powerful lifestyle choices we can make to enhance our functional ability as we grow older.
Frailty typically involves reduced muscle strength, poor balance, slower walking speed, difficulty with daily activities, a higher risk of falls, and eventually, a loss of independence. The encouraging news is—it’s never too late to begin! Regular physical activity and targeted exercise programs can not only slow the progression of frailty but can also reverse many of its effects, leading to a better quality of life.

Overweight/obesity
Chronic lifestyle diseases like diabetes, along with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, commonly incorporate physical activity and active interventions into their management and treatment guidelines.
A combination of resistance training and cardiovascular exercise is recommended for their broad benefits, which include improved vascular health, enhanced cellular function, better glucose regulation, weight management, increased insulin sensitivity, and reduced systemic inflammation.
Research also shows that exercise has anti-tumor properties, can enhance the effectiveness of cancer treatments, and helps alleviate many treatment-related side effects.
